BENGALURU: A 35-year-old man and his four-year-old son were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their home in Chikkabanavara on Monday morning, police said.
The deceased were identified as Abhinandan, who worked at a private firm, and his four-year-old son, they said.
According to police, Abhinandan lived at the house with his wife and son. The incident came to light after his wife alerted police by calling the emergency helpline 112.
The woman told police that they had gone to a relative's house and returned home on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, after she woke up, she found her husband and son lying unresponsive, police said.
Police reached the spot and found the bodies. A senior police officer said there were no stab injuries or any major visible injuries, though minor bruises were found on the bodies.
However, the exact cause of death and whether it was a case of murder can be determined only after the postmortem examination, the officer said.
Police said the woman would be questioned in detail as part of the investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the deaths and whether she or anyone else had any role in the incident.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the deaths, they added.
